Accessibility Statement
We, the team behind Tixo, are committed to making Tixo — the iPhone and Android apps and our website — usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We see accessibility as part of the quality of the Service, not an add-on, and we work to improve it continuously.
1. The law and the standard we work to
The Service is an internet service within the meaning of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013 (regulation 35). We work to Israeli Standard IS 5568 part 1, which adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, and we aim at WCAG 2.1 level AA as a wider target. The iPhone and Android apps are built on the same interface as our website; in them, the WCAG success criteria are applied as far as they are relevant, together with the accessibility features of each operating system.
2. What we have done
- Structure and navigation: screens have headings and landmarks (the main content, and the tab bar as navigation); a "Skip to content" link leads past the top bar; when you move to another screen, focus moves to its main heading; and the tab you are on is announced as the current page.
- Keyboard and assistive technology: controls are real buttons and links that can be reached and operated with a keyboard; icon-only buttons carry text labels for screen readers, and a control's spoken name includes the words printed on it; dialogs and sheets are announced as dialogs, keep keyboard focus inside them while they are open and return it when they close; messages, progress and errors are announced through live regions; decorative images and icons are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and colour: text sizes are set in relative units, and the screen can be zoomed with a pinch in the apps as in a browser; text colours were chosen to reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, and the edges of controls and cards 3:1, in both the light and the dark theme; keyboard focus has a visible ring; and a price that went up or down is said in words and arrows, not by colour alone.
- Touch and motion: controls are sized for fingers, most of them at least 44 pixels high; animations and screen transitions are reduced or switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Language and direction: the whole Service is available in Hebrew (right-to-left) and English (left-to-right); the language of the screen is declared, and Hebrew show names and venues inside the English interface are marked as Hebrew, so that screen readers pronounce them correctly.
- Themes: a light and a dark theme, or one that follows your device's setting.
- Forms: fields have visible labels, errors are described in text, and the sign-in form works with password managers and with the keyboard's offer to fill in the code we e-mail you.
3. How we check
When we build or change a screen, we check that it can be used with a keyboard alone, that its controls have names a screen reader can announce and that its messages are announced, that its colours reach the contrast ratios above in both themes, and that it works in Hebrew and in English. We are working towards a full review of the apps and our website against IS 5568, including testing with VoiceOver on iPhone and TalkBack on Android; until it is done, this statement describes what has been built and checked, not the result of an external audit. This statement was last reviewed on the date shown at the top of the page.
4. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not be fully accessible:
- Sellers' pages opened from Tixo — in a window inside the app or in a new browser tab — are third-party services under the seller's control; their accessibility, including that of the checkout, is the seller's responsibility.
- Listings — show names, descriptions and pictures — come from the sellers and are shown as published. Show pictures carry no description of their own; the show's name and details are always given in text beside them.
- Venue addresses and map points come from OpenStreetMap, and the map and navigation services that open from a show's page are third-party services.
- The price-history line on a show's page is a drawing that screen readers skip; what it shows is written out in words beside it, but the individual readings are not.
- Venue accessibility. Where a seller's listing says whether the venue is accessible, the show's page repeats it ("Accessible venue"); we do not check it, and the venue's own information prevails.
- New features may reach the Service before their accessibility review is complete; we correct issues as soon as they are found.
If you encounter any barrier, please tell us — see section 6 — and we will provide the information or service in an alternative accessible way while we fix it.
5. Exemptions and physical accessibility
We rely on no exemption under the regulations. Tixo is an online service only: we have no offices or premises open to the public, so there are no physical accessibility arrangements of our own to publish. The venues where shows take place are not ours; their physical accessibility and accessible seating are arranged by the venue, the organiser or the seller. Because we employ fewer than 25 people, the law does not require us to appoint an accessibility coordinator; the contact below is responsible for accessibility.
6. Contact us about accessibility
- Accessibility contact: the Tixo team
- E-mail: info@tixo.co.il
To help us help you, please tell us the screen or page, what you were trying to do, your device and the app or browser version, and the assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within 5 business days and to fix the barrier, or provide an accessible alternative, as quickly as we can and in any event within the time the regulations allow (60 days from your notice).
7. The enforcement authority
If you feel your request was not answered properly, you may contact the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Justice (נציבות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות), telephone *6763, or through its website on gov.il.
8. Publication
This statement is published in the app under Account → Accessibility statement and at https://tixo.co.il/en/legal/accessibility, in Hebrew and in English; in case of any inconsistency, the Hebrew version prevails. Statement version 1.0, dated 4 October 2026.
